Definition-
Technology Tuesday is a presentation made by small groups of students, usually 2 or 3, that presents a technology topic. This presentation must be 10-15 minutes long and must highlight the pros and cons of the technology that is being presented. Also, students must discuss the technology in relation to IT topics and how it applies to all 3 Strands of ITGS curriculum.
What Kind of Topic to Choose-
Your technology topic can be almost anything, from online shopping to X Box 360's; as long as you are able to discuss the technology of the product and how the technology is related to ITGS, it's fair game. Make sure that your topic is appropriate to be presented in front of the class and in front of Ms. Draime.
Presentation Etiquette-
If doing a PowerPoint, keep writing to a minimum (you should be speaking through knowledge of your topic, not reading the words right off of your presentation)
Speak to your audience; make sure that you are audible
Dress appropriately, aka; PRESENTATION DAY IS NOT THE DAY FOR SWEATPANTS!
Keep audience engaged through discussion questions to be sure they understand your product
HELPFUL HINTS:
-Work on your project with your group or partner ahead of time; do not save it until the day before!
-Technology Tuesdays are supposed to be a learning experience for you, the class, and even Ms. Draime; do not stress too heavily over this. Have fun with it!
-Most common presentations include a PowerPoint or a Prezi, but you could use other presentation types such as Movie Maker.
-Adding a video to your presentation is a wise move; it clarifies your topic and ties up loose ends.
Audience Etiquette-
While watching a presentation be respectful; do not eat, sleep, be bothersome, etc...
It would be wise to take notes while paying attention because more often than not, facts from the presentation will be on a future quiz or test
Pay attention and if you have questions, save them till the end of the presentation

Talk to the audience
Make sure you give appropriate time on each slide for students to take notes
Project your voice; this is no time to be shy and quiet

Ask your audience if they have any questions
